Chippa United are expected to add Lebohang Moloto to their first team squad, as part of the changes taking place at the Port Elizabeth-based side under the technical team of Roger Sikhakhane and Floyd Mogale.
Moloto has been training with the Chilli Boys, as was earlier revealed in Soccer Laduma.
Depending on the player's performances and response from Sikhakhane and his technical team, the 25-year-old could see himself playing in the PSL this season.
"He is training with us and so far we have been monitoring him closely. The feedback I have received from our technical team is that they are very impressed with him. He adds an attacking dimension to the team that we need and we are very close to signing him," Chippa's CEO, Peter Koutroulis, confirmed to the Siya crew.
Moloto and Mogale previously worked together during their days at Bidvest Wits academy. Chippa is expected to wield the axe on some players in the current first team squad.
Lucky Khune, Enva Wiltwer, Gert Barends, Siphesihle Stuurman and Thabo Maselwa are some of the players linked with Chippa exit.
