Champion Of Champions Report: Highlands Park v SuperSport United 13 November 2016

SuperSport United successfully defended their Gauteng Champion of Champions title, after beating Highlands Park 2-1 in a dribble out.

Stuart Baxter made one change from the side that defeated Bidvest Wits, as Sean Baxter replaced David Mathebula.

SuperSport broke the deadlock after seven minutes when Aubrey Modiba got to the byline before picking out Kingston Nkhatha, who fired home from six-yards out.

Gordon Igesund's charges leveled matters in the 17th minute when Jose Garcia grabbed his second goal of the game from the penalty spot, 1-1.

Baxter opted for a change after 30 minutes, as Sydney Mtshweni replaced Athenkosi Dlala for the final the final 15 minutes.

Both sides pushed for a winner in the closing stages but were unable to find the all important goal, forcing the game into a dribble out.

Baxter's charges managed to clinch the win in the dribble out, winning 2-1 in sudden death.

SuperSport's Kingston Nkhatha was named Player of the Tournament.
