Amajita have been crowned U-20 Africa Cup of Nations champions for the first time after defeating Morocco 1-0 in the final on Sunday night.
South Africa head coach Raymond Mdaka handed recalls to Mfundo Vilakazi, Shakeel April and Jody Ah-Shene following the semi-final win over Nigeria on Thursday.
The South Africans came into the final looking to secure their first-ever title at this tournament, with the Moroccans aiming to claim their second .
Amajita did see a lot more of the ball in the first half compared to the clash against Nigeria, with Vilakazi and April getting off a couple shots in the opening 20 minutes.
Mdaka's charges were the better of the two teams, with the North Africans needing to resort to some rough challenges to try and stop the likes of Vilakazi, Lazola Maku and Gomolemo Kekana, who were seeing a lot of the ball.
The Moroccans nearly opened the scoring six minutes after the break when the ball fell kindly to Jones El Abdellaoui in the box, but the attacker was denied by South African goalkeeper Fletcher Smythe-Lowe.
Amajita responded with a double change just before the hour mark as top scorer Thabang Mahlangu and Patrick Autata replaced Vilakazi and Ah Shene with the hope of finding the breakthrough.
South Africa got the breakthrough in the 70th minute, as Kekana raced onto a long-ball over the top by Smythe-Lowe before showing great composure to find the back of the net with a lovely strike from distance, with the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) confirming the strike.
The North Africans did have a couple chances in the latter stages of the second half, but South Africa remained resolute to hold out for the win and claim their first U-20 AFCON title.
