Bloemfontein Celtic Players In Demand

Bloemfontein Celtic players are being targeted by clubs looking to bolster their respective squads, this despite that the Mangaung club having already lost stars to Orlando Pirates and other teams during this transfer window.

From their squad of last season, Celtic have already lost Kabelo Dlamini, Bongani Sam and Tshegofatso Mabasa to Pirates, while long-serving goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb has been signed by Chippa United.

As was reported by the Siya crew, defender Wandisile Letlabika has been monitored by Chippa, after he was previously linked with Kaizer Chiefs.

Siya sources have confirmed that contact has now been made with the former Mamelodi Sundowns player by the Chilli Boys, who are keen to reunite the centre-back with coach Clinton Larsen, as well as their new signing in Tignyemb.

"Chippa United is one club that is serious with its interest in Wandisile Letlabika. Contact has been made with the boy although Celtic is reluctant to listen to offers for him at this stage, after losing so many players already in this transfer window. Letlabika has got another year remaining on his contact with Celtic," confirmed the source.

In other Chippa news, former Polokwane City player Mfundo Phungwayo has arrived at the Chilli Boys to try and impress Larsen in training.
