Ayanda Dlamini Takes Positives From Orlando Pirates Draw

Lehlohonolo Majoro's first goal of the season cancelled out Gabadinho Mhango's penalty as the two sides settled for a share of the spoils in the DStv Premiership opener.

"For me, it's a good point. We played a very good opponent. They're a quality side. They dominated in some stages. But I think we had our moments. And I like the intensity in our attack but we didn't make the right decisions in the final third," Dlamini told SuperSport after the game.

"I think we kept the ball very well, which is what we wanted. If they don't have the ball, we knew it would frustrate them. So we kept the ball, found those spaces in between the lines and also the ball behind because they hold a high line.

"We had a big chance with Memela with the header, it was unlucky not to go in. But we can take the positives from this game. There's a lot to work on for this team.

Pirates' first-half penalty was a big talking point after replays showed the foul was made outside of the box but Dlamini says his side had to push on.

"You cannot let one decision to ruin your whole game. Eventually when our heads were cool, we got the equaliser. So we cannot afford to lose our heads."
