Orlando Pirates' interim coach, Augusto Palacios, has said that he's not getting carried away with his team's return to form after beating Highlands Park in the Telkom Knockout.

Palacios has taken charge of the Pirates team for the time being, following Muhsin Ertugral's exit from the club, and the 2-1 win over Gordon Igesund's team could signify a turnaround in the team's fortunes. Palacios has said that, despite not spending much time with the team, he was impressed with the way that they played.
"You know, we only had about two days together with the players," he told journalists. "But you could see in their approach that they wanted to win."

The 64-year-old added that, despite the win, his team is not yet where it needs to be and that he believes that they need to show progress in each passing game.
"We won't jump into conclusion and say we have reached the stage where we want to be. We will take one game at a time and keep on improving. The important thing is for the players to understand the culture of the team and stick to it," Palacios added.
