Speaking to the media at the Kaizer Chiefs Village ahead of their Betway Premiership match against Cape Town City on Wednesday evening at FNB Stadium, Du Preez shared his perspective on the attention he received from abroad.
"Definitely, it motivates you as a player. There is a reason why they are interested in you as a player and all you can do is work on the team you are currently with. This is a big club, Kaizer Chiefs, so my focus has always been here," Du Preez told journalists.

Du Preez also emphasized his determination to elevate his game and contribute to the team's success going forward.
"I want to improve and help the team win as many games as we can and for me as a player to improve on scoring goals and help the team win. As a player you set goals at the start of the season. But then when things like injuries come along, and all that, you need to reset and refocus and start getting back on goals," Du Preez concluded.
As Chiefs gear up to secure all three points on Wednesday evening, the anticipation builds for their PSL encounter.
