The coach of relegation-threatened AmaZulu was left disappointed and unhappy as his side's winless run continued.
Following the 2-2 draw between AmaZulu and Bloemfontein Celtic in their Absa Premiership match at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Monday afternoon, the coach of the Durban-based side Ayanda Dlamini was disappointed at his team's failure to protect the lead after going ahead on two occasions during the match, although is pleased with the point earned.
"We had a very good plan against them and it worked very well for us. We even scored the goals from the pressing game that we wanted to play against them. I think it's a good point to take against a team like Celtic," Dlamini told the media after the match.
Usuthu have drawn 0-0 with Baroka and lost 2-1 against Bidvest Wits since the league's re-start.
The point earned from the Celtic match has helped the KwaZulu-Natal outfit to move off the foot of the table to 15th place and are tied on 25 points with 14th placed Baroka.
"We took the lead two times in the game (but) we couldn't protect our lead. In our situation you have to do it, you have to close shop and manage the game very well. That's the only disappointment – the goals we conceded I'm not happy about, I think we should have done better. It's okay, we move forward, we still have three games more (and) let's see what we get," the coach said.
