Amajimbos Coach Upbeat Despite Draw Against Ivory Coast

Despite his charges relinquishing a 2-0 lead in their opening CAF African Youth Championship fixture against reigning champions, Ivory Coast, Amajimbos head coach, Molefi Ntseki remains undeterred by the draw as he focuses on preparing his side for their next encounter against Mali.

Ntseki's men threatened the Ivoirians with their swift counter-attacking football and took the lead through two goals by Sibongakonke Mbatha and Khanyisa Mayo.

"Normally when a team is leading by two goals the opposition will throw everything at you," Ntseki told the South African Football Association media.

"We made a double substitution because we thought to bring in some fresh legs but that unfortunately did not work for us."

"We played a good match but allowed for them to equalize. We have to be strong and be level-headed as we prepare for our encounter against Mali. We have learnt from this match and will take the experience into our next game," added the Amajimbos mentor.
