Agent Confirms Pending Move Abroad For Ex-AmaZulu Youngster

Agent Confirms Pending Move Abroad For Ex-AmaZulu Youngster

Skhumbuzo Mazibuko

As some South African players decide to leave the country in a quest to revive their careers, the Siya crew has been formed of another pending move.

Following former Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City player Riyaad Norodien's move to Democratic Republic of the Congo side DC Motema Pembe, indications are that ex-AmaZulu youngster Skhumbuzo Mazibuko is set to jet out of Mzanzi and enroute to Eswatini.

Mazibuko, 26, struggled to get a club in Mzansi't topflight since parting ways with Usuthu in 2018.

Prior to his exit from the KwaZulu-Natal giants, the Hammarsdale-born player had been sent on loan to second tier club Real Kings.

Following a stint at Durban FC last season, the winger has received an invitation for assessment at Milling Hot Spurs in Eswatini, as confirmed to the Siya crew by his representative Hopewel Goba.

"Skhumbuzo Mazibuko is set to leave for Swaziland for a club called Milling Hot Spurs. I want the boy to go and revive his career that side because teams this side don't want to give a chance to these players who made mistakes while growing up," confirmed the representative.

"My aim is for him to gain confidence and regain his fitness. We can't lose such talent as a country; we need to help these boys. Yes, they made mistakes and they have regrets, but the problem in our country is that we always judge people. He played for Durban FC last season, but he is a free agent now and that is why I'm working on sending him that side so that he can be involved with a more professional set-up. The team in Swaziland is run by a young director who is very ambitious. I saw that the former Ajax Cape Town and Pirates winger (Riyaad Norodien) went to DRC and I'm sure that move will help him get out of his comfort zone," concluded Goba.
