Absa Premiership
Teams: Kaizer Chiefs v Moroka Swallows
Date: 22 October 2014
Venue: FNB Stadium
Kaizer Chiefs will look to keep their train moving when they host Moroka Swallows in an Absa Premiership match at FNB Stadium on Wednesday night.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 19h30.
Chiefs have had the perfect start to the league season with eight wins from eight matches which sees them ten points clear at the top of the table.
Swallows, on the other hand, have had a horrible start to the season and currently occupy 12th place on the league table with nine points.
Their last outing was a 3-2 loss to MP Black Aces this past weekend, which was their fifth defeat of the season.
The loss also signalled Zeca Marques' end as the coach of the Dube Birds who have been taken over by Fani Madida in the caretaker role.
At the same time Chiefs recorded a 1-0 win over Ajax Cape Town, taking their points tally to 24, and coach Stuart Baxter is confident his troops can pick up another three points on Wednesday.
In head-to-head stats, Chiefs and Swallows have met in 59 league matches since 1985.
The Amakhosi have three times as many wins as the Birds (33 versus 11), while 15 of the teams' matches have ended in draws.
Last season the Amakhosi took four points off their Soweto rivals, drawing 1-1 at home before claiming a 2-0 away win in the return match.
