Shongwe – whose brother is none other than former Chiefs and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper William Shongwe – was one of the notable and top attacking players of his time in Mzansi, who tormented defenders with his pace and skill.
In reminiscing about the good old days, Shongwe has selected a strong team of former Chiefs, Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns players whom he believes that would have beaten any team in the world on their day if they were put together and played competitive matches.
His brother William was an obvious choice in goals, with the likes of Doctor '16V' Khumalo, Nelson
'Teenage' Dladla, Sam 'Ewie' Kambule and Gavin 'Stability' Lane making the star-studded team.
