Sundowns surrendered their 15-game unbeaten run at Bidvest Stadium yesterday evening after they were defeated 1-0 thanks to a Sibusiso Vilakazi goal, dropping to third place on the Absa Premiership table.
However, despite the loss, Mosimane says that Masandawana will keep on battling and that he doesn’t think the defeat served as any sort of wake-up call for his players.
Speaking after the game, the Sundowns head coach said, “We can’t give up. We all want to win but tonight wasn’t our night. When the ball hit the post in the last minute we knew that it wasn’t our night. We just had to accept that.
“The defeat isn’t about a wake up call, we tried to win but it was a difficult game. We have to respect our opponents, they did very well, but we won’t give up. We don’t know what’s going to happen, this is football and you keep going.”
