The likes of Eder Militao, Rodrygo and Luka Jovic have already joined the Spanish giants ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, with reports suggesting both Eden Hazard and Ferland Mendy are close to arriving too.
However, speaking about the club's transfer policy recently, former Real striker Predrag Mijatovic explained how he feels that, apart from the Chelsea superstar, Los Blancos' other signings are not of a high profile.
"Aside from Hazard – a signing which hasn't been made official yet – we're signing substitutes," he said, according to Sport.
"That's terrible because Real Madrid are obligated to always sign the best players."
Mijatovic was, however, more lenient when discussing Jovic.
"I know him very well. He's a goalscorer, but is young and will need time to adapt," he added.
"He could be a very useful player, but we can't expect 20 goals from him in his first season."
Paul Pogba has also been linked with Real in recent months, but the likes of Mendy and Hazard are expected to pen deals in the next few days.
