A place in the MTN8 final will be at stake when Kaizer Chiefs visit Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-final second-leg on Saturday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Teams: Mamelodi Sundowns v Kaizer Chiefs

Date: 23 September 2023

Venue: Lucas Moripe Stadium

Time: 15h00

The Brazilians got away with a slight advantage from the first-leg after Khuliso Mudau netted a stoppage time equaliser to salvage a 1-1 draw after Edson Castillo had broken the deadlock for Chiefs three weeks ago at FNB Stadium just before the FIFA break.

Sundowns continued where they left off coming from the international break, as they extended their perfect start to the DStv Premiership season with a narrow 1-0 win over Orlando Pirates in midweek.

However, the Tshwane giants will be without Khuliso Mudau and Mothobi Mvala due to suspension after they picked up their fourth bookings against Pirates.

Amakhosi, meanwhile, have played two league games since the end of the FIFA break and are yet to score after a goalless draw against Royal AM and a 1-0 defeat to SuperSport United in midweek.

Molefi Ntseki's charges need to score at least one goal to stand any chance of progressing to the final while Sundowns will reach the final if the game ends goalless, on away goals' rule.

The Glamour Boys have not been in the MTN8 final since 2015 where they were denied back-to-back triumphs by Cape Town Spurs (then known as Ajax Cape Town), who won 1-0 thanks to a goal by Nathan Paulse.

Here's how they line up:

Mamelodi Sundowns: 30. Williams, 20. Kekana, 5. Lebusa, 13. Boutouil, 40. Coetzee, 4. Mokoena, 24. Mbule, 11. Allende, 18. Zwane, 23. Ribeiro, 38. Shalulile.
