Kaizer Chiefs defender, Tsepo Masilela, is hoping that Chiefs will be able to put their current league form aside when they turn their attention to the Telkom Knockout.
The Amakhosi have not got off to the best of starts in the defence of their Absa Premiership crown, drawing five of their opening seven encounters.
Their stuttering start sees them in sixth position on the log, six points adrift of current league leaders Bidvest Wits.
Masilela is hoping that his side will be able to put their league form to one side when they take on Mpumalanga Black Aces in the TKO this afternoon.
“The league is a marathon, unlike a cup competition. We are not in the position we would have loved to be at, but we are working hard to fix it,” Masilela told Chiefs’ official website.
“We know we can do better and we are better than what the league log suggests. We are Kaizer Chiefs. We know that every game we play is vital and teams come to us with their guns blazing.”
“That’s a different ball game, because cup games are different than those for the league.”
What are your predictions for the game? Do you think Komphela will be able to turn things around and defend their PSL title?
