Wits Fail In Hlatshwayo Attempts

Thulani Hlatshwayo will not leaving Ajax Cape Town in this transfer window, and will only join Wits in July.

The Siya crew reported yesterday that the Braamfontein-based outfit, with whom ‘Tyson’ has signed a pre-contract, were keen to bring him on board before today’s transfer window closed, though it seems their attempts were unsuccessful.

A statement on Ajax’s website said, “Hlatshwayo signed a pre-contract with Wits in July and The Clever Boys were keen to land Tyson before the end of the January transfer period, offering winger Bhongolwethu Jayiya as part of a swap agreement to sweeten the deal.

“Ajax Cape Town resisted and held onto their defensive king-pin for the next six months.”

Hlatshwayo will now spend the next six months with the club that raised him before making the move to Gauteng in July.
