Cape Town City have acquired the signature of Mozambican international, Joao Pedro Mussica, on a free transfer ahead of the new 2017/18 campaign.
The Mother City-based club completed their first signing ahead of the July/August transfer window last week, by securing the signature of Bafana Bafana international, Ayanda Patosi.
Now, the club has ticked one more name off their shopping list and secured the signature of 26-year-old left-back, Mussica, reinforcing their defensive structure for the new season.
The former Ferroviario defender played two matches in the Mozambican side’s CAF Champions League campaign last year, 2016, where he came up against AS Vita Club in the first round.
City ended their 2016/17 Absa Premiership campaign at third place on the league standings, booking their place in the CAF Confederations Cup next season.
Indications are that City is not wasting time to bolster their squad ahead of the new season, as they look to challenge on the African continent, defend their 2016 Telkom Knockout honours and challenge for the league title once again.
