Mdluli Signs For Highlands
Former Bidvest Wits, Jomo Cosmos and Orlando Pirates’ central defender, Thando Mdluli, has been given a new lease of life at struggling National First Division outfit, Highlands Park, while the club has also promoted Lerato Sekgotho from their development structures.
Mdluli, 29, didn’t have much luck in the PSL but is expected to steady Highlands’ inexperienced defence although an injury will keep him out of this weekend’s game.
“Thando has already played three games for us,” the club’s assistant coach," Thierry Mulonzo told Soccer-Laduma.
“We used him as a centre back against FC Cape Town, in our cup game with Vasco da Gama he played on the right but currently has a back injury.
“However, Lerato Sekgotho, an U23 central midfielder, who also plays behind the second striker, will be taking a flight with us to Durban for tomorrow’s game against Lamontville Golden Arrows. As we speak, I’ve just come from the PSL offices with his registration card.”
The club has also announced that Serbian-born striker, Dino Ramic, is training with them.
“We’re waiting for his work permit and have applied for his international clearance,” Mulonza concluded.
