The 20-year-old centre-back arrived in South Africa on Sunday and is believed to have started training at Naturena yesterday morning, with Steve Komphela running the rule over the tall centre-half.
Chiefs are believed to be looking to bring in some cover in the centre of their defence following the news of Erick Mathoho’s injury, and Hadebe could be the man to do that - given his similar physique.
Gibson Mahachi, the man behind both Michelle Katsvairo and Edmore Chirambadare’s moves from Chicken Inn, is also involved in Hadebe’s trial, and he confirmed the news in Zimbabwean media.
Speaking to Zimbabwe’s Chronicle, Mahachi said, “Hadebe is a good defender with a good body and skill. He left Harare on Sunday and will spend a week at Chiefs. I am confident that he will do his best and impress the coaches at Chiefs.”
Hadebe will be given a week to impress Komphela before the Amakhosi’s head coach makes a decision on whether to offer him a deal or not.
