Spain Slayer Parker Ready For Stars

Bernard Parker has returned to training with Kaizer Chiefs following his heroics in helping Bafana Bafana beat world champions, Spain, on Tuesday night November 19. The 27-year-old grabbed Bafana's decisive goal in that contest as he smartly beat Victor Valdes in the second half with a nicely-weighted chip.

Nonetheless, it appears Parker is not allowing his great display against Spain to distract him from his club responsibilities. The player, who is in arguably the best form of his career, was understandably in high spirits when he returned to Naturena for training this morning (November 21).

However, he was quick to point out that Chiefs needed to re-focus quickly on the Telkom Knockout semi-final against Platinum Stars on Saturday, November 23.

He told the club's official website, “It is a good feeling. This is an unbelievable feeling indeed and honestly I can’t describe it. The goal I scored and the collective effort we put in that historic win makes me feel positive and confident going to the next games. Even though it is always a mission to revert from the national team to the club, we have to re-focus quickly. We must turn back to our goal of doing well this season.”

Saturday's clash will be played at the FNB Stadium. Action gets underway from 20h15.
