The double-figure whitewash was played last Sunday, 6 October, at the Nike Centre in Pimville.
The win against Stars means Chiefs’ U17 side now have an unassailable lead at the top of the standings. This was after nearest rivals Senaoane Gunners FC dropped points against Midas FC in a separate league encounter.
Young striking ace, Brendan Konki, scored six of the goals to take his tally to an impressive 34 for the season.
The Siya crew did a little digging to find out more about Chiefs' promising teenager. The crew can confirm that the young hit-man has more than six hatricks and four braces and he’s the top goalscorer in the league.
Recently he was promoted and will play for Chiefs' U19 side in the Castle League. Prior to joining Chiefs he played for Wits' juniors for four years and was their top goalscorer as well.
Konki could be someone for Chiefs fans to look out for in years to come.
U17 Coach Arthur Zwane is said to be brimming with confidence ahead of his side’s next clash against Sporting Football Club. The game is scheduled to be played at the Nike Centre in Pimville on Sunday, 13 October. The match begins at 10h00.
The success of the club’s junior teams appears to be a big boost for Chiefs' youth development strategy, which has partly been put in place by coach Stuart Baxter.
