News making its way to the Siya crew is that a Zimbabwean, Ronald Chinyengetere, striker is currently attending trials at Polokwane City.
The crew is informed that Chinyengetere recently recovered from an 18-month spell on the sidelines through injury and will be hoping to impress the coach, Boebie Solomons.
The crew has learnt that the player was on Rise and Shine’s radar as they were campaigning in the NFD but he decided against signing for the club.
However, the crew is now informed that the club is giving the 26-year old player a second chance with a view to enhance their striking department ahead of the new season.
Although coach Solomons couldn’t reveal the name of the player, he said there are players training with his side but he hasn’t decided yet.
“I have a few players that I’m currently assessing but I have not made my mind yet. I’d also like to keep Sipho Jembula and that will depend as time goes on,” said Mzala.
The crew is informed that the chairman, Johnny Mogaladi, is in Brazil to watch the FIFA World Cup and some of the signings could wait for his approval.
The crew will monitor the situation at Rise and Shine and keep you updated.
