The domestic violence case against Orlando Pirates star Thembinkosi Lorch has been postponed yet again, with the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) confirming the latest developments.
Lorch was arrested in September at Midrand Police Station on charges of domestic violence, after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
Following the incident, Pirates issued a statement confirming that the club was aware of the alleged incident involving the midfielder and appealed that the law be allowed to take its course.
As issued on the club's official website at the time, the statement from Pirates read:
Following the latest court appearance on Tuesday, the NPA has confirmed in a statement to the Siya crew that the matter is remanded to 19 January 2021.
"The matter was postponed to 19 January as the NPA is considering whether or not to refer the matter for diversion," stated the NPA in their official statement.
Lorch, 27, last played for Josef Zinnbauer's team on November 04 in the DStv Premiership match against Bloemfontein Celtic where he picked up an injury that has ruled him out since.
