The Blaugrana's injury crisis saw them reach out to LaLiga with the hope of adding to their squad outside of the window, with the likes of Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele on the sidelines for the long term.
Braithwaite is believed to have joined the club for a fee of about €20 million (R325 million), which is understood to be his release clause from Leganes.
The Denmark forward scored eight goals and assisted one further strike in 27 games for the relegation-threatened side before securing a dream move to Barca.
