Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder George Lebese admits it was important to get back to winning ways after losing to Orlando Pirates on the weekend.
A first half brace from Lebese and a second half strike from Bernard Parker saw Chiefs beat Golden Arrows 3-1 in a league match on Tuesday night.
“It is a much needed three points, we needed to get back on the horse,” said Lebese.
“The most important thing was to get the three points.
“It was a good game, but we don’t like to concede so it is back to the drawing board.”
Looking ahead to the Telkom Knockout semifinal against Pirates on Saturday, Lebese says they will head into the game full of confidence, but they need the support of their fans.
“We have a big game again on Saturday, so this is a good result for us in terms of getting the confidence back,” added Lebese.
“We really appreciate the fans, they are the 12th man.
“Every time they come to the stadium it is a morale booster for us and we need them to rally behind the team.
“We will do everything in our power to get wins for them.”
