Promising Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Philani Cele, is understood to be in line for a return to Moroka Swallows for another loan spell come January.
The 24-year-old returned to the Amakhosi at the end of last season following a loan spell at the Dube Birds, however he suffered an injury shortly after his return.
Cele has since commenced light training but is unlikely to be part of coach, Steve Komphela’s plans and according to a Siya source, he is set for a loan move back to Swallows in the January transfer window.
“He is a great player, but it will take time for him to play at Chiefs with the quality of midfielders he is competing with,” the Siya source explained.
“The team (Chiefs) feels another loan move would prepare him for the next season, where he could be ready to play.
“The injury just added to his misery, as now he has to wait and heal fully before he can compete for a place again.
The team thinks if he is loaned back to Moroka Swallows, it will help him develop as a player and he will come back stronger and ready to compete next season.
“If the move is agreed to, the loan deal will happen during the next registration window in January,” the source added.
