Orlando Pirates are looking forward to reuniting with their former coach Eric Tinkler, and some of the team’s former players in the game against Cape Town City.
The Buccaneers are scheduled to host the Mother City outfit in a league game at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday evening. Bucs took to the club’s official website to discuss the prospect of coming up against Tinkler, as well as the duo of Tshepo Gumede and Lehlohonolo Majoro.
“In what will be a first-ever encounter between the two clubs, the Mighty Buccaneers and Head Coach would like to mark this opening encounter with a victory. The game of football is a sport which requires the commitment and dedication of all eleven players on the field of play to work towards one ultimate goal - winning.
However, in-between this eleven versus eleven match, there are a few subplots which take place – subplots that often add extra excitement and discussion. The word ‘reunion’ will be top of mind come on Tuesday evening.
For the Mighty Buccaneers, it will be the reunion with former coach Eric Tinkler as well as two former players in Tshepo Gumede and Lehlohonolo Majoro. And as for the Bucs Head Coach, who was at the helm of Mpumalanga Black Aces last season before it was purchased and later renamed Cape Town City, he will be facing some familiar faces on Tuesday night.
Aubrey Modiba (now at SuperSport) and Judas Moseamedi, are just two names that Turkish born mentor prides himself with having developed and unleashed to Absa Premiership football. If you have ever had the opportunity to speak to Ertugral, he never misses the opportunity to remind you of this.
Tickets for this encounter are currently on sale at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers outlets nationwide. R40 for adults and R10 for juveniles.
The match is scheduled to start at 19h30.
