Leopards Put Five Past Garankuwa

There was an avalanche of National First Division goals as Black Leopards lambasted Garankuwa United 5-2, Royal Eagles pipped Maluti FET College 4-3, while Witbank Spurs and Vasco da Gama each whacked three without reply past Highlands Park and Thanda Royal Zulu, respectively.
In addition, as Lidoda Duvha’s Roggert Nyundu and Phathutshedzo Nange were busy grabbing braces at Lucas Moripe Stadium, Lamontville Golden Arrows maintained their top spot after a 2-0 home victory over FC Cape Town, and Jomo Cosmos bounced back to winning ways by overpowering Milano United 2-1 at Vaal Tech.
“Zeca” Marques now seems to have found his magic touch at David Thidiela’s club, however, with Garankuwa dropping even further into the relegation quagmire, serious questions must be asked about their technical team.
On the other hand, thanks to further braces from Eagles’ Walter Maponyane, Spurs’ Dumisani Tau and Vasco’s Mbulelo Wambi, things are looking a lot brighter for these sides.
In fact, Sbu Mpisane’s outfit are just ten points behind Abafana Bes’Thende and waiting to leapfrog Eezy my Kinnes, who have slipped badly of late.
They couldn’t stop Ezenkosi’s rampaging men as Charlton Mashumba hit his ninth goal, while Matsilelele Junior Sono was also on target.
Another club on an excellent run is Cape Town All Stars, who are in fifth place, just a point behind Milano, following their 1-0 away triumph over Baroka FC.
Zaid Patel was Stars’ hero.
Santos threw away a 2-0 lead as African Warriors fought back to equalise via Bongingkosi Nxumalo and Dahou Lebahi. Earlier, Tshepo Mabua and Carl Lark had given the Peoples Team something to cheer about but fans went home disappointed.
