Mpumalanga Black Aces midfielder Mark Mayambela could make his debut for AmaZayoni against his former team, Orlando Pirates, when the two teams meet in the Telkom Knockout on Tuesday night.

Aces coach Clive Barker confirmed to the Siya crew that Mayambela could feature in the match against Pirates at Mbombela Stadium tomorrow night.

“Mark is looking sharp at training and we believe that he is ready to play for us now. He might get a run in the match against his former team but a decision on that will only be made few hours before the game,” said Barker.

“Obviously, I will be counting on him and other former Pirates players like Onyekachi Okonkwo and Clifford Ngobeni to cause an upset against their former team. Players always raise their game when they are facing their former teams, so I’m hoping that these players will lead us to victory against Pirates,” added Barker.

Meanwhile, Aces will still be without midfielder Sandile Zuke. The midfielder is still serving his suspension after he was sent off during Aces’ 2-0 loss to Maritzburg United in the league recently.
