Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Mark Mayambela will be jetting out of the country soon, to try his luck in Europe, after failing to secure a new PSL deal.
Earlier this morning the Siya crew reported that Moroka Swallows had decided against signing the dribbling wizard, with the player’s agent, Tim Sukazi, having since confirmed the news.
“Swallows’ decision not to sign Mark is a more business oriented than a reflection on Mark Mayambela’s ability. Swallows are a club that we have a very good relationship with and therefore we had an open discussion about this,” Sukazi told the Siya crew.
“The next stop for Mark is potentially overseas because for some strange and good reasons, we have been receiving several enquiries on him, which we had put aside on the hope of prioritising a local move with an exit window to Europe.
“However, our colleagues from overseas have persistent on their inquiry on Mark such that they ended up asking for day to day updates on him. So now in our view Europe is calling for Mark and that’s where he’ll be going,” added Sukazi.
Meanwhile, Sukazi revealed that they have asked Swallows to allow Mayambela to continue training with them.
“We have sought special permission for him to continue training with them while we are busy preparing his paperwork for Europe,” concluded Sukazi.
