Sundowns Unaware Of Dolly/Olympiacos Link
Mamelodi Sundowns have stated that they are unaware of the of interest from Greek powerhouse, Olympiacos, regarding star player, Keagan Dolly.
Dolly has been in fine form over the last 12 months for Masandawana as he helped them to the Absa Premiership and Telkom Knockout titles, as well as played a vital role in their march into the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
Now, following an impressive showing at the Olympic Games in Brazil, there have been plenty of rumours regarding European clubs showing an interest in the 23-year-old, with the Greek champions the latest name to be thrown into the hat.
However, Masandawana’s communications co-ordinator, Thulani Thuswa, says that the Bafana Bafana international is still with the club, and that they’ve heard of no interest from Olympiacos at this stage.
Thuswa told the crew, “He is a Sundowns player, and we have not had any enquiries from them. We have heard of the talk of the (general) interest and it comes at no surprise after he impressed in Brazil for the Olympics.”
There are now just 15 days left of the South African transfer window, with most European nations – including Greece – also keeping to the same dates as Mzansi with regards to the window closure on 31 August.
