With Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri believed to have reached an agreement to become Juventus' new boss, it has been claimed that a Blues legend could be named as the Italian manager's successor at Stamford Bridge.

According to the Daily Mirror, Bianconeri officials held talks with the Premier League outfit on Thursday in a bid to find common ground regarding Sarri's potential exit from the London club.
It is believed Chelsea are demanding a huge compensation fee for the former Napoli boss should he complete a return to Italy.It has been claimed the two parties were close to arriving at a compromise on the matter, with a deal said to have been agreed in principle.
The Serie A giants are said to have agreed to pay a fee of £5 million (R93 million) in order to secure Sarri's services, which could pave the way for a former Blues star to take over at Stamford Bridge.

It is believed that Lampard's impressive job at Derby, coupled with the work he has done with Blues loanees Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount, both of whom played integral roles for the Championship club in the 2018/19 campaign, has convinced his former employees he is the man for the job.
Lampard enjoyed an illustrious 13 years as a player at Chelsea, making 640 appearances, while scoring 209 goals and registering 150 assists.
