Italy and Roma legend Francesco Totti has criticised Neymar's big-money move from FC Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain.
Neymar: What Doctors Told Me After World Cup Injury
The retired footballer, who thinks the beautiful game has become more of a business in recent years, believes the money PSG spent on Neymar is absurd.
"I really preferred the football of a long time ago. Today, it is just crazy," he said, according to Calciomercato.
"Football has deeply changed between my time and now. I prefer the romantic football of before, now it is all about business.
"There are players like Ronaldo and Neymar, but Neymar is an example of this big price, it is too much to pay €250 million for a player. This goes beyond reality."
In a change of topic, Totti also sided with Lionel Messi in the debate as to who the best in the world is.
"Messi is number one, just don't tell Cristiano!" he added.
Mbappe: Why I Turned Down Real For PSG
Totti is one of the few players to have only represented only one club in his entire career, having played 785 matches for Roma since his senior debut in 1993.
