Sandile Zungu, the ambitious new AmaZulu owner, has responded to talk in the football fraternity that he wants to appoint Benni McCarthy.
Usuthu do still have a coach in Ayanda 'Cobra' Dlamini having handed him the reins permanently at the start of the season after he was instrumental in guiding them to safety, making sure the club retained its topflight status a few months ago.

But with only a single win in five DStv Premiership matches, it is understood that Zungu, who had no hand in appointing Dlamini, is contemplating a change.
The smooth businessman has also invested heavily in the club since the change of ownership by roping in top tier players into the squad.
On Tuesday, he announced the arrival of Phakamani Mahlambi and Veli Mothwa from Mamelodi Sundowns and Chippa United, respectively.
McCarthy, who is still unattached after leaving Cape Town City last season, is thought to be the new president's target for a possible replacement.
"I have heard five coaches being associated with AmaZulu, it's the first time I hear Benni McCarthy by the way," Zungu told the Siya crew.
"Everyone knows that, in the game of soccer, you've got to have a thick skin. You can't treat rumours with disdain. It's nothing personal. All I can tell you is that the technical team – not just the head coach and his assistant, but the goalkeeper coach and people in the medical space – unequivocally enjoy our support."
He did, however, emphasise that Dlamini and his backroom staff were appointments made by the previous regime, the Sokhela family.
"We inherited them from the previous administration and made it very clear when we came on board that everyone has got to prove themselves. No one is viewed with suspicion simply because we got them from the previous administration," he explained.

"One thing we are clear about is that we have got ambition and in our pursuit of that ambition, there will be no prisoners taken. If you are a player and underperforming, there's no space for you. I am also not bigger than Usuthu. If a coach is standing in the way of happiness of the supporters, who have been patient since 1932, he will have to do the right thing – that is the standard rule, we are all on our toes to deliver."
Zungu said he wants AmaZulu to make the Top 4 at the end of the season.
Contacted for comment, McCarthy's agent did not want to be drawn into the speculation.
"I can't respond to that because I am not aware of the interest and as far as I know, they still have a coach," said Lance Davids.
"But if the club is keen on Benni they know which channels to follow."
