Lorenzo Gordinho is set to be rewarded by Kaizer Chiefs with an improved contract following a number of impressive displays.
Amakhosi have reportedly entered into negotiations with the 21-year-old defender in an attempt to keep him at Naturena until June 2019.
Freedom, as he is known in the local football fraternity, has established himself as a first-team regular alongside Eric Mathoho in the heart of the Amakhosi defence.
According to Siya sources, Chiefs have offered the central defender a new two-year deal, although the two parties are yet to put pen to paper.
“They have been impressed with his growth and performance and that's why they have offered him a two-year extension to his contract,” the source said.
“The contract he signed when he joined from the development side expires in June next year, which is why they want him to sign a new deal as soon as possible and not become a free agent," concluded the source.
