Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi has applauded the inclusion of Khuliso Mudau, Rivaldo Coetzee and Lyle Lakay in the national team, but feels there are more players from the club who deserve a call-up.
The three players have been included in Hugo Broos' Bafana Bafana squad to take on Guinea and France in Europe towards the end of this month. Previously there have been calls from supporters for the inclusion of Coetzee and Lakay and they are now part of the squad. Rushine De Reuck and Teboho Mokoena are also part of the side, making it four Sundowns players in the team.
Mngqithi feels there are more Sundowns players who deserve call-ups.
"I believe they've done exceptionally well. They have always deserved an opportunity. I was saying the other day to the journalists that I think it's high time Mudau gets an opportunity to play at that level because he has shown a big improvement. He has improved in leaps and bounds since he joined Sundowns," Mngqithi told media during a press conference.
"If you were compare his performances of last season versus his performance now, you will agree with me that he is at the right level to stamp his authority in the national team. But be it as it may, I think we still have far more players who deserve an opportunity in the team. But time is always the best judge."
