Hunt Hails Brilliant Wits
Bidvest Wits head coach, Gavin Hunt, says his side played brilliantly against Mamelodi Sundowns and revealed he was hurt by comments from a newspaper.
Wits put in a strong showing and it was capped off by a moment of brilliance from Sibusiso Vilakazi to send them second in the league table and Hunt revealed he side were motivated by comments in the media.
"I thought we were a different class, we played brilliantly, there was only one side," he said after the game.
"We were shown no respect in the media yesterday, you open the Star newspaper and they said they (Sundowns) had the easiest game of the year, so we were very up for this game.
"We were really good, we could have been two-three (goals) up in the first half, we didn't take our chances, which has been hurting us all season. We battled all the way and we had a bit of magic from Vila, which has been a long time coming.
"They're a good side, they're a good attacking side and they can hurt you at any time, so we had to make sure at safe-guarding areas and play a different type of game, we haven't been scoring goals but we've been creating chances every week, we're a good hard-working side, we don't have the magic that they've got up front and we keeping working hard."
