Since his departure at Pirates, the Bucs faithful never stop praising him and, every time Pirates look for a coach, fans throw the Dutch born mentor's name in the pot for a return.
But it's look like Dr. Irvin Khoza knows Krol better than fans do. You can even ask yourself why Khoza ignored the treble winner and someone who left a bunch of worries to defend the treble, someone who left a solid foundation for an incoming coach.
If you dig deeper and follow Krol's footprints to his first trophy as Bucs coach, the Dutch legend joined Buccaneers in 2008/09 season, and in his first season he took Pirates to second spot on the log, losing the league to Hunt's SuperSport in the final game of the season. Krol also claimed a silver medal in TK0 after a defeat to Craig Rosslee's Ajax.
In his second season Krol finished fifth on the log. Pirates wanted for Ajax's coach to join Bucs as Krol's assistant, and it was Krol's year when he and Rosslee claimed and they went on to added two more to complete historical treble. Krol might be a head coach but it's clear that it took two coaches to build a Bucs treble winners.
We may praise Krol, but Khoza knows Krol and he need more than just players to win trophies, maybe that's a reason why Khoza ignore Krol's name.
