Igesund: Champion Of Champions Will Help Us

Highlands Park head coach, Gordon Igesund, believes the Guateng Champion of Champions tournament will benefit his side during the break.

Highlands were recently dumped out of the Telkom Knockout by Orlando Pirates, while they currently occupy 12th spot in the Absa Premiership.

The former Bafana Bafana coach says they will be using to the tournament to look at players on trial as well as fringe players.

"It's good that we will be playing today when some of our players are with their different national teams as I will look at the players Why choose train with us but don't really play," Igesund told journalists. 

"We also have players on trials who we need to see in a game situation.  The tournament will help us keep fit as well during the break."
