Soccer-Laduma can exclusively reveal that Belgian Pro League outfit Club Brugge have officially tabled an offer for Ajax Cape Town winger, Khama Billiat.
Following Thursday’s news that Billiat’s proposed move to Mamelodi Sundowns has been called off, the Belgian giants have made an offer for the 22-year-old Zimbabwean, with Siya sources confirming the European’s interest in the player.
Billiat has been linked with an exit from the Urban Warriors for some time and after Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns had all made their intentions on wanting to sign the player clear, it was the Brazilians who emerged as the front runners to land their target.
Sundowns and Ajax had initially agreed on terms for Billiat and all that was needed to complete the deal was for the winger to agree on personal terms. It seemed that his immediate future was set for Chloorkop, however the player’s camp and Downs failed to agree on terms.
Billiat has been linked with a move to Europe in the past, with the most recent link being to Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow.
As it stands, with the Sundowns deal having been called off, it will be no surprise to see Billiat turning out in Belgium this season.
