Mamelodi Sundowns defender Bongani Zungu has insisted that the festive break has not disrupted Sundowns' momentum.
The Brazilians struggled in the beginning of the season, but were able to turn things around and ended the midway point of the campaign in fine nick.
Downs are currently on a 12-game unbeaten run, which has seen them climb to the top of the Absa Premiership standings and lift the Telkom Knockout trophy, and Zungu insists that the break has not disrupted the Brazilians' momentum.
"The break didn't really disturb us because the technical team kept us busy with friendly games," Zungu told Soccer Laduma.
"We played against teams like Platinum Stars and Bloemfontein Celtic, which are both good teams. We won all of those games, which was a motivation for us."
Do you think the break came at the wrong time for Downs, or will they be able to pick up from where they left off?
