Khama Billiat was awarded the ‘Man of the Match’ award for his brace in Mamelodi Sundowns 4-0 win over Bloemfontein Celtic in their Telkom Knockout Last 16 match on Sunday afternoon.
Billiat was superb and a continuous threat on the Celtic goal from the first whistle. He found his first goal on the half hour mark volleying home a Bryce Moon right-wing cross from eight-yards out, and socre dhis second three minutes after half time with a beautiful curling shot into the bottom right-hand corner of the net from the edge of the box.
Speaking after the match he was humble in receiving his award and gave credit to his teammates for a solid performance.
“We did well and we played well as a team, credit must go to the team,” said Billiat who added that this competition is about find the back of the net.
“It wasn’t easy for us traveling away from home, but this cup competition is always about scoring goals.
“We can defend as much as we can, but at the end of the day we have to score goals.
“It was a good game and we changed the way we played a little bit from the last time we played them.”
