With superstar Paul Pogba tipped by many to quit Manchester United ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, here are four star midfielders the Red Devils might look to sign as his replacement.
Click through the mini-gallery above to see four players United could buy to replace Pogba, according to the Daily Express.
Since Zinedine Zidane returned to the helm of Real Madrid, Pogba has been discussed as one of the French manager's main transfer targets for this window.
The player has had a tough time of things in England since 2016, when he returned to the club for a then world-record transfer fee from Italian giants Juventus.
Although United are believed to be desperate to hang on to the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, the player himself might find it difficult to reject the chance to join Los Blancos, especially while the Spanish giants are in a transitional phase. If he did go, though, who could Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replace him with?
According to the Daily Express, Paris Saint-Germain outcast Adrien Rabiot might be an option, considering he would be free. The 24-year-old did not feature in the second half of this season for his club after reportedly turning down the chance to extend his stay with the French giants.
Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves might be another option for United, with the publication suggesting he could be available for about £40 million (R730 million). Wolverhampton Wanderers will not want to lose their star midfielder, but with interest coming from all over Europe, hanging on to him will not be easy.
Ronaldo Sets Another European Record
Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic could also be someone the club turns to, although he will not come cheap as he is hot property, with Juventus also reportedly vying for his signature.
Lastly, Monaco's Youri Tielemans might be a realistic target, despite Leicester City's determination to sign the Belgian on a permanent deal.
