Bafana Stay Put In Latest FIFA Rankings

Bafana Bafana's place on the official FIFA world rankings has remained unchanged following the latest results released by the international governing body of world football. Shakes Mashaba's men remain sat in 62nd place on the world rankings, with 559 points, and in 14th place on the African continent. The points accumulated in South Africa's 1-1 draw in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier, against Burkina Faso, and the one-all draw in the international friendly against Ghana were tallied in the latest standings. Ivory Coast are Africa's highest ranked team, in 31st place on a global platform, with Senegal, Algeria, Tunisia and Ghana completing the top five ranked sides in Africa. Egypt are ranked in sixth position, with Congo DR, Congo, Mali and Cameroon making up the respective top ten CAF nations. South Africa's next fixture will be against Senegal on 12 November, in the second match of their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
