Orlando Pirates defender, Ayanda Gcaba, is on the brink of missing the first competitive Soweto Derby of the season, with the player on three yellows.

Gcaba, 29, has been booked in all three of his league games for the Buccaneers this season, and should he pick up another in this week’s midweek game against Golden Arrows, he will be unavailable for selection against Kaizer Chiefs at the weekend.
The versatile defender, has played five domestic games for Pirates so far this season, scoring twice along the way and playing a major role in their qualification for the quarterfinals of the 2015 Telkom Knockout.
Despite spending less time on the field than he will have hoped, Gcaba’s versatility has often come in handy for Eric Tinkler, and with a big game like the Soweto Derby coming up, he will want to have as many members of his squad available as possible.
If Gcaba does feature against Arrows on Wednesday night, then he will have to tread very carefully if he wants to feature in this weekend’s Derby at FNB Stadium.
