Ajax Cape Town are close to reaching a decision regarding the futures of Cole Alexander, Andre Petim, Nathan Gertse and George Akpabio, after they returned from their loan spells from Chippa United and Vasco Da Gama, respectively.
Alexander is currently recovering from an ankle injury which he picked up in training. He will, however, continue to be assessed by the club’s technical team as soon as he resumes preseason training with the Urban Warriors.
Meanwhile Petim, Gertse and Akpabio are hard at work with the rest of the team in attempts to impress head coach Muhsin Ertugral and the rest of the technical team, after a promising season on loan with National First Division outfit, Vasco Da Gama.
Ajax’s Public relations officer, Shooz Mekuto explained to Soccer-Laduma. He told Soccer-Laduma, “Cole is injured at the moment, but he started light running today (Thursday). From next week he will resume normal training and will then continue to be assessed. George Akpabio is also still being looked at by the coach, as well as Petim.”
In other news from the Ajax camp, goalkeeper Kyle Peters has been sent back to Vasco on another loan deal, while Brandon-Lee Adams and Sici Shelembe have both been released by the club.
