Downs Join Bayhill As Chiefs Drop Out
Mamelodi Sundowns have taken Kaizer Chiefs’ spot in the 2017 Bayhill Premier Cup after the Amakhosi youngsters had to pull out.
Chiefs were drawn in Group F of the tournament alongside Witbank Spurs, Liverpool Portland and Glendene United, however logistical troubles has meant that they are no longer available to attend.
Siya sources have revealed that Tshwane counterparts at Masandawana have decided to fill the void left by the Glamour Boys, and will take their place in Group F in Cape Town.
The games will get underway on Easter weekend as some of the best youth sides in the country go head to head to decide who has the strongest generation of youngsters in 2017.
A total of eight Absa Premiership sides junior sides will turn out in the competition in the Western Cape, including SuperSport United, as they look to retain the title following their victory last year.
