The New Face At Amakhosi Training…

Kaizer Chiefs haven’t confirmed any sort of transfer at this point in time, but Godfrey Walusimbi had his first training session with the Amakhosi today as negotiations continue.
The Siya crew reported earlier this month that the 29-year-old had become a target for the Glamour Boys as they look to solve their problem at left back, although Gor Mahia are not happy with the way in which he was reportedly tapped up by the South African giants.
However, despite being annoyed by Chiefs’ approach of the player, it would seem as though talks are progressing between the involved parties, and Siya sources have revealed that the Ugandan international trained with Giovanni Solinas’ side on Monday.
There are now just under two weeks left of the transfer window before it slams shut on August 31st, meaning that the Glamour Boys have to move quickly if they’re going to get a deal over the line in time, though the fact that he has started training is a good sign for them.
Mahia did threaten to take Chiefs to FIFA and CAF over their alleged conduct regarding Walusimbi, however, they may back down on that if an agreeable deal can be reached between the two parties in the coming days.
So far the Glamour Boys have signed Khama Billiat, Andriamirado ‘Dax’ Andrianarimanana, Letlhogonolo Mirwa and Virgil Vries for the 2018/19 season, and Walusimbi could potentially be their final signing of the window.
