Orlando Pirates assistant coach Rulani Mokwena is still in the sights of Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter.
According to the Bafana mentor, the Bucs assistant coach was considered for the camp for the COSAFA Cup. Baxter said that Mokwena was among the names he considered to be part of the camp while Bafana assistant and U20 national team coach Thabo Senong is unavailable owing to a course he is completing.

“Look Ruluani was among the people I had planned to bring on board. The idea (is) to reward people who have done really well and who have worked hard and to build towards their development,” added Baxter.
Mokwena was recently called up by Baxter in March when Bafana took part in a Four-Nation tournament in Zambia. However, the Bucs assistant was unavailable to travel with the squad owing to the short communication time given to the Buccaneers.
Meanwhile, the Siya crew has reported that Mokwena has been linked with numerous clubs recently, as rumours swirl regarding his future with Pirates.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach has been a revelation since joining the Soweto giants and with Milutin Sredojević, has helped inspire the club to a second spot finish in the 2017/18 season, securing a CAF Champions League spot.
